Enchanted Engine Monitor (aka 2GR-FE AC Idle-Up and Oil Monitor)
The Enchanted Engine Monitor is a microcontroller and LCD screen that replaces the battery/boost gauge in a 2nd gen MR2 combination meter, fitting within the factory mounting points. The screen and sensor information are generic, however the AC idle feature is tailored to 2GR-FE swapped MR2's with an OEM 2GR-FE ECU.
This microcontroller provides the following features:
- Stable AC Idle (AC status signal is communicated to the 2GR ECU)
- LCD Screen Displays:

- Battery Voltage
- Management of Low Oil Pressure Light

- Wired microcontroller, ready to be spliced into the stock harness- LCD screen & custom 3D printed mounting bracket for OEM fitment in gauge cluster

Shipping
We offer shipping anywhere within the United States. As this is a soft launch and the first 10 units are made-to-order, overnight or express shipping options are not available at this time. However, we anticipate shipping your order within one week of purchase.
Returns
As these products are made-to-order, we are happy to offer a refund for unused products returned within 60 days. The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.
Technical Specifications
AC Idle-Up:
The microcontroller receives the signal from the stock MR2 AC switch and transmits the CAN AC idle-up request to the 2GR-FE ECU.
Oil Pressure/Temperature:
The stock 2GR-FE oil switch is replaced with a 2-in-1 Bosch pressure/temp sensor, designed for high-vibration environments, unlike many pressure sensors on the market.
Oil Warning Light:
The oil warning light functionality is retained by wiring into the stock 2GR-FE oil switch and managing it with the microcontroller. The default warning value is set to 10 PSI, but this can be customized upon request.
